About Us

Itahar Government Polytechnic was established in 2019 at Sohair, Itahar in the district of Uttar Dinajpur. This college was set up with the aim of increasing the number of skilled technical professionals in departments not available in the nearby regions.

It is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and is affiliated to the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education & Skill Development (WBSCT&VE&SD).

Diploma Engineering Courses

We currently offer three Diploma Engineering courses:

1. Computer Science and Technology
2. Electrical Engineering
3. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

We’re the RSRJ Team from the Computer Science and Technology (CST) Department, and we’re excited to share our project with you! As 2nd-year and 3rd semester students in the 2024-25 session, we’ve been inspired by our amazing teachers to create the IGPC Student Management System (SMS). Our aim is to make managing student information easier and more efficient, all while going paperless. We’re really passionate about this project and are here to help!
